| Obverse description | Central device depicts the Bolivian national arms: a spreading palm tree flanked by two reclining llamas at its base, with fineness and weight indicators '10 D.' and '20 Gs.' inscribed in the lower field to either side of the trunk. Nine six-pointed stars are arranged in an arc around the upper periphery of the central device. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA' runs along the upper rim, with mint mark 'PTS', date '1860', and assayer initials 'F·J·' completing the inscription along the lower rim, all separated by pellets. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. |
