Metallwerke Holleischen GmbH was a munitions factory operating near Holýšov in occupied Czechoslovakia, run largely on forced labor — concentration camp prisoners, primarily women transferred from Ravensbrück. This note is factory scrip, issued internally to allow those workers nominal purchasing access within the plant's canteen or commissary system, a setup that gave the appearance of wages while keeping any value entirely within SS-controlled infrastructure.
The denomination in Reichspfennig rather than a round mark figure is unusual for camp or factory scrip and may reflect a deliberate pricing structure within the canteen.
