Obverse description Laureate bust of Galba facing right, encircled by the imperial titulature legend. A punched countermark appears in the right field, denoting the Ostrogothic re-valuation to 42 Nummi. The host coin is a Roman As struck under Galba (68–69 AD), and the countermark was applied during the Ostrogothic period (501–533) to facilitate continued circulation at the reassigned denomination.
