Obverse description At center, the small crowned coat of arms of the French department of Constantine rendered in relief within the field. A circular legend reading CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE above and CONSTANTINE below frames the device, with the date 1922 appearing beneath the shield, flanked by decorative dots. The overall composition is neat and heraldically precise, befitting an official chamber of commerce issue.

Reverse description The large denomination numeral 5 and abbreviated unit CENT. are prominently displayed within an open three-sided rectangular frame, creating a bold central device. Decorative foliate sprays extend symmetrically from both sides of the frame, while a cluster of grapes adorns the top, lending the design an ornamental quality characteristic of French colonial emergency coinage. The engraver's name THÉVENON appears in the lower portion of the field.
