It will be received in payment of customs and fiscal duties and will be legal tender and mandatory for the payment of debts within the Republic. In accordance with the Law of March 20, 1912 and its amendments and under the conditions that these laws prescribe the National Bank of Nicaragua Incorporated will pay Five Cordobas on sight to the bearer of this note. Reverse description Printed in brown intaglio on plain paper, the reverse is dominated by the Nicaraguan Coat of Arms at centre — an equilateral triangle enclosing a landscape of five volcanic peaks rising from the sea with a liberty cap and rainbow above, surrounded by the inscription 'REPUBLICA DE NICARAGUA / AMERICA CENTRAL'. Elaborate guilloche rosettes flank the central arms on both sides, each containing the numeral '5', with the bank titles arched across the top and the denomination 'CINCO CÓRDOBAS' displayed in a decorative panel at the foot of the note.
