The Gambia's 5 Dalasi notes of this series are printed by Thomas De La Rue on cotton substrate — unremarkable for the denomination but consistent with the bank's long-standing relationship with De La Rue that stretches back to the dalasi's introduction in 1971, when it replaced the Gambian pound at par with the West African pound system.
The security package here is modest: watermark and thread only, with no optically variable elements. For a low-denomination note in a small-economy issue, that's a reasonable commercial decision rather than an oversight.
