Alpetour was a Yugoslav tourist and transport enterprise based in Škofja Loka, a medieval town in Slovenia. Like many Yugoslav state-owned companies, it issued its own internal currency — small denomination vouchers or "bon" notes — redeemable within a closed circuit of company-affiliated canteens, shops, or employee services. These were never legal tender and circulated only within the firm's own network.

The 5 Dinarjev denomination places this note firmly in the Yugoslav dinar system, though the exact period of issue is difficult to pin without a date on the piece. Yugoslav enterprise scrip of this kind was common from the 1960s through the 1980s.
