| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Guyana occupies the central field, depicting a helmeted shield supported by two jaguars, with a Canje pheasant as the crest above and an Amerindian headdress at the top of the helm. Three wavy horizontal lines across the shield represent the rivers of Guyana, with a Victoria Amazonica (giant water lily) at the shield's base.
