Reverse description A gold-plated caravel under full sail occupies the central field, set within a decorative compass rose rendered in gold against a blue enamelled background. The dates 1505 and 2005 appear to the left of the compass, commemorating the quincentennial of Bermuda's discovery. The legend FIVE DOLLARS is inscribed along the upper edge, and BERMUDA QUINCENTENNIAL arcs along the lower portion of the coin.
