| Obverse description | Draped and armoured bust of Julius Caesar Gonzaga to right, the effigy rendered in refined Renaissance manner with a full beard and elaborately chased armour visible at the truncation. The portrait is boldly struck and centrally positioned within the coin field. Encircling the bust, the peripheral Latin legend PRINCEPS BOZZVLI is distributed evenly, separated from the central effigy by a plain inner border and bounded by a beaded outer rim. |
