| Obverse description | Black intaglio on multicolour underprint. A portrait vignette of Francisco de Oliveira Chamiço occupies the left field, the Portuguese Coat of Arms appears at lower centre, and the bank seal is positioned at right; two overprinted legends reading "S. TOMÉ e PRÍNCIPE" in red distinguish this provincial issue. The decree number and date of issue are inscribed in accordance with Decreto No. 17.154, with the payability legend and printer's imprint set in the lower margin. |
