| Reverse description | The reverse displays the common European design for the 1, 2, and 5 euro cent denominations, designed by Luc Luycx. A large numeral 5 occupies the left portion of the field, with the legend EURO CENT inscribed to its upper right. A globe rendered in low relief is depicted in the lower centre-right, showing Europe prominently highlighted against a world map with longitudinal and latitudinal lines. Diagonal lines radiate across the field behind the globe, and five-pointed stars are arranged along the right rim, with the engraver's initials LL visible near the globe. |
