| Obverse description | A dramatic battle scene fills the coin's field, depicting the heroic Exodus of Messolonghi of 1826, rendered in fine engraved relief with multiple armed fighters engaged in close combat, some on horseback and others on foot, carrying weapons and flags. The composition conveys the intensity and sacrifice of the Greek defenders breaking through the Ottoman siege.
