Obverse description Central field features a hammer and sickle superimposed upon a stylized map outline, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The Chinese Soviet Republic never actually issued aluminum or copper fen coinage during its existence in the Jiangxi Soviet period of the early 1930s — the original pieces were largely propaganda artifacts with contested authenticity even at the time. The 1960 restrikes were produced by the People's Republic as collector items, effectively manufacturing a numismatic history for a government that had minimal functioning mint infrastructure during the revolution.

Y#507 is catalogued as a "fantasy" precisely because no confirmed original issue underpins it.
