| Obverse description | Central device consisting of a royal closed crown set within a symmetrical floral and foliate wreath, the wreath composed of two rising branches tied at the base with three five-petalled rosettes — one at the base and one at each upper lateral position — and surmounted by a palmette finial above the crown. The circular legend reads RANAVALOMANJAKA along the upper arc and MPANJAKA NY MADAGASIKARA along the lower arc, all in large Latin lettering, separated by dot stops. The design is contained within a dentilated border. |
