Obverse description Left-facing laureate bust of Ferdinand III with flowing hair and a small pointed beard, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The effigy is dressed in a ruffled collar, reflecting a Baroque royal portrait style. The circumferential legend reads FERDINANDUS III. D. G. RO. IM. S. AU. GE. HU. BO. REX, separated by the bust, and is contained within an inner beaded border. The portrait occupies the majority of the coin's field and is executed with fine sculptural detail.

The lower field is adorned with a decorative wreath of wheat ears, oak leaves, and floral sprigs. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, and the proof surface displays a deeply mirrored finish.
