Obverse description Printed in red on cream paper, the obverse is dominated by dense Ottoman calligraphic text arranged across the central field, with the numeral '5' visible within the inscriptions. An oval cartouche at the top centre bears the imperial tughra, while a circular seal vignette occupies the lower centre. The entire composition is framed by an intricate guilloche border with ornamental corner pieces and lateral panels in the same red monochrome.

Reverse description The reverse, printed in black on plain cream paper, presents a circular coin-like vignette at the upper centre engraved with Ottoman Arabic script. Below, a rectangular registration stamp reads 'Enregistré Par la BANQUE IMPÉRIALE OTTOMANE' with a hand-stamped serial number and the inscription 'CONSTANTINOPLE 1876', serving as the bank's authenticating cachet on this otherwise unadorned side.
