| Obverse description | Printed in red-brown on plain paper, the obverse is entirely in Ottoman Turkish script arranged within an ornate letterpress border of interlocking guilloche rosettes and decorative corner medallions. A large circular tughra of Sultan Abdülhamid II occupies the upper centre, while the denomination and textual monetary guarantee are set in large calligraphic naskh script across the central field. Smaller circular seal vignettes anchor each corner of the inner frame. |
