| Obverse description | Emergency Treasury Certificate issued by the Province of Ilocos Norte under the Commonwealth of the Philippines, dated May 20, 1942, Fifth Series. The central text certifies the issuance of five pesos duly authorized by the President of the Philippines and the Provincial Board of Ilocos Norte, redeemable after the war.
