Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the traditional escutcheon with the royal palm, the rising sun, and the sea between two promontories, encircled by an oak branch at right and a laurel branch at left tied with a ribbon at the base. The circumferential legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs across the upper periphery.
