| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the distinctive shield with a key, a rising sun, and a royal palm tree, surmounted by the Phrygian cap atop a pole with two fasces. A curved legend above reads REPUBLICA DE CUBA, and a curved legend below reads CINCO PESOS. The design is contained within a border of fine denticles close to the rim. |
