| Reverse description | Within the aluminium bronze centre, a left-facing draped bust of José Vasconcelos, the Mexican philosopher, educator, and statesman, rendered in medium relief. The denomination $5 appears to the left of the effigy, while the Mexico City Mint mark (Mo) and the date 2008 are positioned to the upper right. The name JOSÉ VASCONCELOS is inscribed in an arc below the portrait. The stainless steel outer ring carries the legend CENTENARIO DE LA REVOLUCIÓN arcing along the upper portion, with MÉXICO 2010 prominently displayed along the lower arc, commemorating the centenary of the Mexican Revolution. |
