| Obverse description | The aluminium-bronze centre features the Mexican national arms in high relief: an eagle displayed facing left, perched upon a prickly-pear cactus rising from a rocky islet, devouring a serpent grasped in its beak and right talon. The design is rendered in fine detail with spread wings and a wreath of oak and laurel branches at the base. The stainless-steel ring bears the national legend 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS' along the upper arc in raised Latin capitals, with an ornamental foliate motif at the lower arc. |
