New Zealand retained the pound until 10 July 1967, when decimal currency was introduced and the dollar replaced it at a two-to-one ratio. This note therefore spans nearly three decades of issue under four different governors, with Fleming's signature appearing in two distinct states — the later one incorporating a security thread, making the transition point a useful marker for collectors trying to date examples without a printed date to rely on.
Thomas De La Rue printed the entire series in London throughout its run.
