| Obverse description | The obverse is printed predominantly in blue on a light ground, with borders of traditional Cypriot lacework guilloche at top and bottom. To the left, a large circular vignette renders a detailed spiral lacework medallion; at centre, a multicolour underprint of geometric embroidery motifs frames the trilingual denomination. To the right, the national arms of Cyprus — a dove with an olive branch above the date 1960, encircled by a wreath — appear within a dark blue scalloped cartouche, with a small outline map of Cyprus below. |
