Obverse description Printed in brown and olive tones on light paper, the obverse bears a central promise-to-pay text in large letterpress across the upper half, with the denomination in large numerals at left and lower-left corners. A rectangular intaglio vignette at right shows a bust portrait of King George V in full regalia facing left, set within a geometric guilloche border. The issuing authority text reads for the Government of India beneath the central legend, with a manuscript signature of the Currency Officer below.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in olive-green and brown tones, mirroring the obverse layout with an identical promise-to-pay legend in large letterpress at center and the same intaglio portrait vignette of King George V at right within a guilloche frame. Serial number and prefix appear both above the vignette and below it, while a Greek-key meander border runs along the top and right margins. The lower margin carries a ghost watermark impression of the Government of India text.
