Obverse description The left third carries an intaglio vignette of Mount Everest in dark reddish-brown tones, flanked by fine guilloche underprint panels. The central field presents a detailed multitiered vignette of the Taleju Temple in Kathmandu, with the denomination in Devanagari numerals in bold below; a circular bank seal appears at upper right. Serial numbers in Devanagari script are placed at lower left and lower right, with the Bikram Sambat date 2069 at bottom centre.

Reverse description The right two-thirds of the reverse carry an intaglio vignette of two yaks grazing on an alpine meadow in deep reddish-brown, with a snow-capped mountain massif rising behind them in lighter tones. The left portion is occupied by an arched watermark window framed by ornate temple columns and surmounted by the Nepalese government emblem. The bank name appears in Latin script at the top and the denomination legend with the Gregorian year at the bottom.
