Obverse description Portrait of King George VI in military uniform within an oval guilloche vignette at left, flanked by large numeral denominators '5/-' at each corner and a floral rosette guilloche at right centre. The date '17th March, 1960' and the Chairman of the Commissioners of Currency signature appear across the central field, with the printer's imprint 'THOMAS DE LA RUE & COMPANY LIMITED LONDON' at the lower margin. The note is printed in red on white paper with fine lathe-work underprint throughout.
