Reverse description The arms of Monaco — a shield fusilly of argent and gules, displaying seven rows of diamond-shaped lozenges — surmounted by a princely crown with floral finials and arched band, all set within the field. The legend DEO·IVVA DVX· VALENT· PAR· FRANCIÆ· &ᶜ. is inscribed along the periphery, with the date 1664 appearing in the upper portion of the legend, separated from the shield by the opening words of the motto. A toothed border frames the entire design.
