| Obverse description | The National Coat of Arms of Tajikistan is depicted in the upper portion of the copper-nickel centre, featuring a rising sun, a crown, and flanking wheat sheaves with a cotton boll. The large numeral '5' appears in the centre field below the arms, with the Cyrillic denomination СОМОНӢ inscribed beneath it. A decorative floral inner border separates the centre from the brass outer ring, which bears the Cyrillic legend ҶУМҲУРИИ ТОҶИКИСТОН along the upper arc and the date 2004 along the lower arc. The mint mark of the Saint Petersburg Mint appears discreetly in the lower right of the centre field. |
