Chinese banks have long used dedicated practice notes — called 点钞券 (diǎn chāo quàn) — for training tellers in the rapid counting, sorting, and authentication techniques required before handling live currency. This 2003 example mimics the fifth series 5 Yuan note closely enough to build genuine muscle memory, but carries overprinting or other markings that render it legally distinct from circulating currency.

These training materials are officially produced and distributed through the banking system, not sold publicly — which makes surviving intact examples somewhat harder to source than their mundane purpose might suggest.
