| Reverse description | The reverse is printed entirely in blue and built around an elaborate geometric and floral guilloche border whose lateral panels carry repeated stylised peacock-eye and foliate motifs interspersed with the interlaced monogram "BP". At the centre, "Bank Polski" in italic script heads a cartouche of fine lathe-work underprint bearing the legal-tender text in four lines; the Polish eagle displayed in a small vignette appears at the top centre above the cartouche, and the numeral "5" is repeated in large form on both the left and right margins. The denomination "PIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH" runs along the lower border. |
