| Obverse description | Printed in dark red-brown on a pale buff ground, the note carries large Fraktur script reading 'Fünfzig Millionen Mark' across the upper central field, with a faint steam locomotive vignette serving as underprint. The issuer's title 'DEUTSCHE REICHSBAHN' appears in solid panels at the top and bottom borders, flanked by two circular Reichsverkehrsminister eagle seals at either side of the central text block. Below the denomination, the place and date 'Berlin, den 18.
