| Obverse description | Intricate guilloche security pattern in red and black covers the central field, with the modified denomination numeral '50 000' prominently displayed at centre — the three zeros overprinted in green ink over the original '50' of the base note. Below the central numeral, the denomination legend appears in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts. To the right, the issuing authority legend, governor's title, and a circular official stamp dated 15.10.93 are printed, together with a facsimile signature. The anti-counterfeiting warning legend runs vertically along the left margin in both scripts. |

Issued during the worst phase of hyperinflation to strike the newly independent Bosnian state, this note was authorized by the Narodna Banka Bosne i Hercegovine while Sarajevo was under active siege. The denomination itself tells the story: within months of issue, 50,000 dinara was functionally worthless, and the series was overtaken by further emergency issues reaching into the billions.
Bosnia's wartime currency operated in parallel with several competing monetary systems circulating simultaneously across ethnically controlled territories, making attribution of surviving notes to specific circulation zones genuinely difficult.
