| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Rwanda is displayed centrally within a raised circular border, depicting a traditional thatched hut flanked by a sorghum stalk and a coffee branch, surmounted by a sun and two interlocked rings, all enclosed within a wreath and resting upon a shield with a knotted rope below. The legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA arcs along the upper periphery of the field, while the motto URUMWI UMURIMO GUKUNDA IGIHUGU appears on a scroll at the base of the arms.
