Obverse description Front-facing portrait vignette of the "Big Six" founders of Ghanaian independence — Kwame Nkrumah, Ebenezer Ako-Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo, Joseph Boakye Danquah, Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey, and William Ofori Atta — arranged at right, above a green cocoa bean motif. The Independence Arch appears at centre, with the national arms at lower centre and a star at left. The note is printed predominantly in green tones with fine guilloche underprint patterns.
