| Obverse description | Black letterpress on plain paper with an elaborate guilloche border framing the entire note. The bank title 'PHILIPPINE NATIONAL BANK' is printed in large bold lettering at the top, below which the designation 'EMERGENCY CIRCULATING NOTE' appears, with the statutory authority inscription and promise to pay the bearer on demand centred in the body. A prominent red circular bank seal is struck at centre, with serial numbers printed vertically in red at both left and right margins, and the denomination '50 CENTAVOS' rendered in bold block lettering across the lower centre. |
