| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in blue intaglio on a fine guilloche underprint. The seal of the Central Bank of the Philippines dated 1949 appears as a circular vignette at the left, with the large numeral '50' and the legend 'FIFTY CENTAVOS' in a decorative panel at centre. Denomination numerals '50' within oval cartouches occupy each corner, and two manuscript signatures appear at the bottom, attributed to the President of the Philippines and the Governor of the Central Bank. |
