| Obverse description | Blue and green letterpress bon de monnaie with a guilloche border of leafy vine motifs enclosing the note. At centre top, a circular vignette presents the laureate bust of Marianne in right profile, inscribed REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, flanked by the issuing authority legend VILLES DE ROUBAIX ET DE TOURCOING. The denomination 50 CENTIMES appears in a bold dark panel at centre, above the guarantee text, with the denomination value 0.50 repeated in each corner within ornamental cartouches.
