Obverse description Central vignette presents an intaglio-engraved view of the grain silos and industrial port facilities at the Port of Basra, with loading cranes and cargo infrastructure rendered in fine line work against a multicolour guilloche underprint in violet and pastel tones. Denomination numerals "٥٠" appear in guilloche rosettes at each corner, with the issuer's name in Arabic script across the top panel. A governor's signature appears to the right of the central vignette, accompanied by the Arabic legend authorising the note's issue.

Reverse description The reverse carries an intaglio-engraved grove of date palms (Phoenix dactylifera) occupying the centre-right field, rendered in fine line engraving with smaller palms receding into the background. To the left, a large circular guilloche rosette in orange and yellow tones serves as an ornamental underprint element. Denomination numerals "50" appear in a guilloche cartouche at lower left and in a plain panel at upper right, with the note printed on a pale green and orange multicolour underprint framed by a geometric arabesque border.
