| Obverse description | Facing bust portrait of King Abdullah II bin Hussein within a circular frame, depicted in civilian dress in a formal, dignified style. The Arabic legend encircling the portrait reads the full royal title and name of the king, referencing both the Hijri year AH1420 and the Gregorian year AD1999. An additional Arabic inscription at the base commemorates the occasion of the accession to the throne.
