| Obverse description | Printed in purple and mauve tones, the obverse carries the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom as a central left vignette, rendered in fine intaglio engraving with a lion and unicorn as supporters above the motto ribbon. To the right, the denomination 'FIFTY DOLLARS' is set in large letterpress text over an elliptical guilloche underprint, accompanied by the promise-to-pay clause, issue date, and the facsimile signature of the General Manager.
