Obverse description Depicted in the centre of the obverse is the entrance arch, main façade, and distinctive circular bell tower of the Church of Santa Coloma d'Andorra (Església de Santa Coloma), rendered in fine relief. The country name ANDORRA and the year of issue are inscribed along the lower portion of the field. Encircling the design are twelve five-pointed stars, the symbol of the European Union, arranged in a ring around the periphery of the coin.

Reverse description The reverse displays the common European design for the 50 euro cent denomination, designed by Luc Luycx. A relief map of the European continent is depicted to the left of centre, showing Europe without internal national borders, set against a horizontally lined background representing a globe. The face value 50 EURO CENT is inscribed to the right of the map, with the designer's initials LL appearing in the field. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union.
