Reverse description The Ecuadorian national coat of arms dominates the central field, depicting a condor with spread wings perched atop an oval shield charged with Mount Chimborazo, a steamer on the river below, and a sun above the summit; the shield is flanked by fasces and palm and laurel branches, with four heraldic stars at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DEL ECUADOR arcs along the upper rim. The denomination 50 FR appears in the lower field flanking the base of the arms, with the mint city name QUITO inscribed in the exergue.
