| Reverse description | The central device features a full-length frontal effigy of the Blessed Virgin Orant (Oranta), rendered in the Byzantine mosaic tradition as found in the apse of Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv, with arms raised in the orans posture of intercession. The figure is enclosed within a decorative wreath of stylized foliate ornament. The inscription ОРАНТА is divided horizontally by the figure of the Virgin, appearing to either side. Below the main device, above the lower foliate border, inscriptions indicate the metal, its fineness, and the coin's fine weight. |
