| Obverse description | Printed in reddish-brown on cream paper, the obverse is framed by an elaborate scrollwork and foliate guilloche border with the denomination numeral '50' at each corner. An oval tughra vignette of Sultan Abdülhamid II occupies the upper centre, above a central text panel in Ottoman script. A second oval cartouche at the lower centre bears an additional official seal impression. The overall layout follows a letterpress format typical of Ottoman treasury notes of this period. |
