Obverse description The obverse features a centrally placed royal crown of Denmark, depicted in high relief with ornate detailing including a cross pattée at the apex, arched bands, and a beaded circlet at the base. The date 1988 is divided by the crown on either side in the upper field, with the numeral 19 to the left and 88 to the right. The national inscription DANMARK arcs prominently in large raised letters across the lower field beneath the crown. A small mintmaster's mark appears to the right in the field. The overall design is bold and heraldic, characteristic of the Danish coinage tradition.
