Obverse description Central vignette of an allegorical seated female figure representing Progress, her right hand resting upon a shield bearing the Argentine coat of arms and her left hand raised holding a lit torch; the composition is executed in an intaglio style with fine guilloche underprint. The denomination "50 PESOS" appears in bold lettering, flanked by ornate typographic borders.
