Obverse description The Philippine national coat of arms is displayed centrally within the field, featuring the quartered shield with a radiant sun and three stars above, flanked by an eagle and a lion, with a scroll beneath bearing the legend REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS. Three five-pointed stars are positioned at the upper corners and center top of the shield. The curved upper legend ANG BAGONG LIPUNAN arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 50 PISO appears in bold characters along the lower margin. The entire design is framed by a beaded border.
