| Obverse description | The right portion of the obverse is dominated by an intaglio-printed vignette of a Kandyan dancer in profile, wearing an elaborate traditional headdress with layered ornaments and beaded jewelry, rendered in deep red-brown tones against a multicolour guilloche underprint in blue, orange, and teal. The upper band carries the bank title in Sinhala script, while the centre field bears trilingual inscriptions in Sinhala, Tamil, and English identifying the issuing authority, the denomination in Sinhala script, and two facsimile signatures with their titles. A lotus flower motif appears at the lower left, and the numeral "50" is placed in the upper left and lower right corners within guilloche panels. |
